Today we are excited to officially push out LogViewPlus v2.3 to all of our customers.

The v2.3 release is one of our biggest releases ever. In addition to fixing a lot of outstanding issues, we have also worked to improve how filter merging works. For example, LogViewPlus can now create explicit AND relationships between filters.  Also, merged filters can now be converted into ‘exclude’ filters.

We have also added the ability to save highlights independently as a template. This is a feature that has been on our backlog for a long time – so it’s nice to finally get it delivered.

Another feature that has been on our backlog for a while is the ability to syntax highlight log entries. We are pleased to announce that LogViewPlus now supports XML and JSON syntax highlighting!

Check out the full release notes.

What’s next? Well, it is a little hard to predict at this point exactly what will be in the next release but we are still working toward a v3.0 release which will include support for alternate data sources such as Syslog, Windows EventLog, and Databases. There is still plenty of work to do here and we expect multiple incremental releases over the next few months.

In the meantime – check out LogViewPlus 2.3 and let us know what you think. Our development road-map is customer driven and we are always looking to improve.

Thanks!
