Hi, I like your app very much. It is one of the best logviewers I know. I often use the "Find in Columns" filter, but unfortunately it has a not so nice flaw. It does search in the column alone but also highlights the search term in other columns as well. This is somewhat confusing if you have a lot of highlights in your logview then. I.e. filtering for 25 in the column "Thread" also highlights all 25s from the "Date" column, as we are in 2025 now Is there a way to avoid the highlighting for these other columns?

Hi Mic,
Glad to hear you are finding LogViewPlus helpful.
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. This message was incorrectly flagged as spam in our forum software. This could be because your user name overlaps with a known spam account. You can change this in Your Profile -> Edit Account.
It's a good point about hightlights when using the Find in Column feature. I think we could add an additional setting to make this hightlight creation optional.
In the meantime, I would suggest removing the highlight after creation.
Hope that helps,
Toby

Hi Toby, no worries. Meanwhile I found a solution. If you check on Regular Expression and wrap your search in ^ and $ it works. Then it only matches the search term in the selected column. So if I want to search i.e. for "12" in Column "Thread", i choose "Find in Column", use the term "^12$" and check as regular expression.
But a shortcut for this would be fine, as I often need to use this kind of search to filter log entries of a huge multi threading software.
Kind regards Mic
