When I then close the two instances the workspace of the first closed instance is lost. This way I sadly lost a lot of open filters for my current investigation.

Regards
Andreas

RE: Issue saving workspace with multiple LogViewPlus instances

That is correct. For now, the the only solution available is to disable running multiple instances.

Toby

RE: Issue saving workspace with multiple LogViewPlus instances

Hi Toby,

well, this actually does not help. Because it means that there is currently no way to save the workspace of two open LogViewPlus instances.

Regards
Andreas

RE: Issue saving workspace with multiple LogViewPlus instances

Hi Andreas,

For the moment, this behavior is by design. LogViewPlus only has one settings file. When you have two instances open and are attempting to write settings, one instance will override the other.

There are several solutions here. Our plan is to eventually support multiple workspaces in the same LogViewPlus instance. Once this feature is complete we will no longer need to support multiple application instances.

Hope that helps,

Toby
