InstantForum 2017-1 FinalLogViewPlus Supporthttps://www.logviewplus.com/forum/LogViewPlus SupportSat, 13 Jun 2026 16:43:36 GMT20https://www.logviewplus.com/forum/post/1215We recently introduced a new installer which allows LogViewPlus to be installed without Admin permission.&nbsp; Unfortunately, this is a breaking change with the previous installer.&nbsp; For users wishing to upgrade to 2.5.37 or later versions, we recommend uninstalling previous versions of LogViewPlus before installing the latest.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br/><br/>It is not necessary to export your application settings before upgrading, but this approach is always recommended.&nbsp; As a rule, if you are worried about losing data it is good to have a backup copy.<br/><br/>We still recommend installing LogViewPlus as Admin.&nbsp; This allows LogViewPlus to <a href="https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/app-domains/gac" id="if_insertedNode_1634713766918">install assemblies into the GAC</a> which will improve performance.&nbsp; However, we understand that this is not always an option.&nbsp; An admin-free installation is now the default.Wed, 20 Oct 2021 07:13:19 GMTLogViewPlus Support
