LogViewPlus can load multiple files at the same time which can cause problems when one or more of the files fails to load. Previous versions of LogViewPlus would fail silently and just not opening the file, which resulted in a poor user experience. LogViewPlus 2.6.5 improves error reporting by adding a new Workspace Issues tool which can display a list of issues that occurred when loading the workspace. Double clicking on an issue provides additional information.

This toolbox item will only be visible if issues are detected. The item can be closed by removing all outstanding issues.

The latest update also fixes a major issue in the 2.6.3 release where files with a space (or other non-URI) character in the path were failing to open. This is a serious issue which required us to release quickly. The fast turn around means that this release is not as feature rich as we would like. Some of the intended features in this release have therefore been postponed.

In other news, we are continuing to work on improving our reporting capabilities. This work is progressing very well and we are currently ahead of schedule. It is not yet clear which features will be in the next release as this is heavily dependent on testing and quality.

Lots to do - so I better get back to it. :) In the meantime, check out version 2.6.5 and please do let us know what you think.
