This is a solid incremental release that builds on the SQL and reporting features we introduced in 3.0. It also includes several usability improvements, bug fixes, and quality-of-life changes that should make working with your log files a bit easier.<br/><br/>A few highlights:<br/><ul id="if_insertedNode_1746217327120"><li>Grid column settings can now be saved in merged log files and message parsers. We’ve also added a new UI to help manage columns more easily.</li><li>The Elapsed column can now be used in SQL queries (we also addressed an export bug).</li><li>Added logarithmic scale as a new option in reporting charts.</li><li>SQL support has been extended to handle the TIME data type, and the CONVERT function now accepts style parameters for formatting.</li><li>Default log reader encoding is now UTF-8 instead of the Windows default — which should help with compatibility.</li><li>LogViewPlus will now check available memory before attempting to open large files.</li></ul>We’ve also made a number of smaller improvements:<br/><ul id="if_insertedNode_1746217400596"><li>Better support for network shares.</li><li>More consistent behavior when comparing log entries or using the Parse Message command.</li><li>Navigation panel and message size settings will now persist between sessions.</li><li>Pretty printing for XML/JSON now optionally supports escape characters.</li><li>Some tweaks to how shortcut keys are handled.</li></ul>This release also includes a long list of bug fixes — mostly around edge cases in merged files, exporting, SQL functions, and log parsing.<br/><br/>That's all for now!
