﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss version="2.0" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"><channel><title>LogViewPlus Support » LogViewPlus Support » News &amp; Announcements  » LogViewPlus 2.4.30</title><generator>InstantForum 2017-1 Final</generator><description>LogViewPlus Support</description><link>https://www.logviewplus.com/forum/</link><webMaster>LogViewPlus Support</webMaster><lastBuildDate>Sat, 13 Jun 2026 16:58:33 GMT</lastBuildDate><ttl>20</ttl><item><title>LogViewPlus 2.4.30</title><link>https://www.logviewplus.com/forum/post/456</link><description>LogViewPlus v2.4.30 is now available.&amp;nbsp; This release has taken a little longer than expected, but that may be because it is our largest ever.&amp;nbsp; There are a ton of &lt;a href="https://www.logviewplus.com/releasenotes.html" id="if_insertedNode_1583738213202"&gt;new features and bug fixes&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Probably the biggest change in this release is that we have completely revisited how automatic parser decisions are managed.&amp;nbsp; The user flow had started to suffer because the process was developed as needed over time rather than holistically.&amp;nbsp; This change has two parts main parts.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;img src="../Uploads/Images/27bb5700-5fa8-4734-8c8f-e4a1.png" data-download-url="../Uploads/Images/a71b4ec6-b642-4f77-9d0d-c44a.png" id="if_insertedNode_1583738658134"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;First, we consolidated all of the message popups that could occur which explained how a file was parsed.&amp;nbsp; All of these messages now come through a single dialog which (importantly) can now display multiple parse results.&amp;nbsp; LogViewPlus added Zip and GZip support in the last release and it became obvious that we really needed to consolidate the notifications.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;img src="../Uploads/Images/0caf39f8-cbbb-483e-b857-cd59.png" data-download-url="../Uploads/Images/72b14e97-7c56-4916-b7a1-8a1c.png" id="if_insertedNode_1583739165949"&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Second, we revisited the ParserWizard and put in a number of changes to make it more user friendly.&amp;nbsp; Some of these changes are small - like adding a link to open your log file in a text editor to get a sample log entry.&amp;nbsp; Other changes are much more noticeable.&amp;nbsp; Where we used to have a three pane view of Config, Sample, Progress Report, we have consolidated this down to just the basics.&amp;nbsp; The sample log entry is now transformed as the configuration is created.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The documentation on some of these new features is still pending, but we have released a new video showing the &lt;a href="https://www.logviewplus.com/docs/parse_a_log_file.html" id="if_insertedNode_1583739522148"&gt;new parser configuration process&lt;/a&gt; in action.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.logviewplus.com/download.html" id="if_insertedNode_1583739551712"&gt;Check out the latest release&lt;/a&gt; and let us know what you think!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;What's next?&amp;nbsp; Syslog support is already in the works and coming along nicely.&amp;nbsp; We are going to try and go back to our normal (small) release size, so hopefully we should have this out in 3 - 4 weeks.&amp;nbsp; With a bit of luck, we might be able to squeeze in UDP support as well.&amp;nbsp; :-)&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Cheers,&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Toby&lt;br/&gt;</description><pubDate>Mon, 09 Mar 2020 07:40:35 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>LogViewPlus Support</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
