Hello.
You can see the illustration of this little issue below.
Is it clear?
As for as I see, it happens on 4K monitors.

Hi Andrii,

Thanks for reporting this issue.

We are aware of LogViewPlus display issues in certain scenarios related to your DPI settings.  In particular, the display can be quite bad in some VM scenarios.  Unfortunately, these display issues are largely controlled by the interaction between your Windows settings and our third party control provider.

LogViewPlus 2.6.3 introduces two new application settings for managing these display issues:

I would recommend you first try and disable DirectX rendering.  If that does not help, you can disable Windows control scaling.  Both of these settings require an application restart.

Hope that helps,

Toby

Any of these check boxes don't effect at all in my case.
Hope it can be fixed in future updates.

The boxes are enabling advanced drawing capabilities.  Both boxes should be disabled.

Note that an application restart is also requited.

If to un-check, both fonts become blurred.

Anyway, it's ok.

Thank you for the answer.

I experienced the same issue with LogViewPlus 2.6.5 and my 4K monitors.
Likewise, the suggested Application > Startup Settings gave no improvement.

I was able to fix just the cut-off of log-lines by simply changing the fonts in:
Settings > Fonts & Colors > Font Settings section; I changed the fonts to Cascadia Code 12.

To fix everything (including the file browsers and other application controls) I did the following:
1. Created another shortcut for LogViewPlus.exe
2. Right-clicked on my new shortcut and selected Properties
3. Selected the Compatibility tab and clicked Change high DPI settings

4. Check Override high DPI scaling behaviour and set Scaling performed by: to Application

6. Start the application from the customised shortcut.

Brilliant Ian - thanks for that!

We test LogViewPlus daily on a 4K display at 150% scaling on a multi-monitor desktop.  The application scales well under test, but we do have several customer reported issues like the one above.

The problem we have is that Windows has a lot of settings which control this behaviour and it is difficult to track down which particular setting might be causing the issue.  As a fail safe, you can now disable scaling, but this causes images to be less sharp.  I have to admit that I am usually focused on the Display settings, so this one often skips my mind.

LogViewPlus knows how to scale itself, so it makes sense that this setting should always be set to Application.  We plan to put together a documentation page discussing these issues soon and I will be sure to add this setting.

Thanks again,

Toby
