Some log entries are self explaining and some are not. When working with many different complex logfiles or when being new in a team which does log analysis it can be difficult to interpret everything. It would be nice if a small "knowledgebase per parser" can be added to the LogViewPlus. If the message "user object loaded" is found in the field "message" then a note can be shown which gives extra information like "the user has been loaded into the kernel and this has the effects..." or if a message "service XYZ crashed" is shown then a note can be visible like "known problem, please see knowledgebase article XYZ".
If this log notes can be exported and shared with others then this would be a great and easy knowledge exchange.
Best regards, Matthias

Thanks for the feedback!
Have you noticed the notes tab? Notes are saved as part of a Template. https://www.logviewplus.com/docs/notes.html
If not, I think this would probably be best addressed by a new feature. I think it would be best if we continue this discussion along with your other question over here: https://www.logviewplus.com/forum/564/Store-and-load-config-on-SMB
Thanks,
Toby

Hi Toby,
oh, I did not know about that notes tab! That is nice and I will use it now :-) But what I was thinking about is having notes by trigger. I've described this in this comment: https://web.nt-ware.net/its/browse/EMEA-24287
I am happy to close this call and continue in https://www.logviewplus.com/forum/564/Store-and-load-config-on-SMB
Best regards, Matthias
