Today we are announcing LogViewPlus v2.3.9. The big news in this release is a new RegexParser which allows users to parse log files with a regular expression.

A regex log file parser has been requested several times over the last few years and it is clearly a feature that has been missing. It is a big help to users who are already familiar with regular expressions. However, the down side is that the RegexParser is significantly slower than the PatternParser. For this reason, we currently only recommend using the RegexParser on smaller log files. Hopefully, we can improve the performance of this parser going forward.

In other news - performance, bug fixes and small enhancements. A lot of work has gone into this release, but it is spread out over multiple areas of the application. We have focused this release on our feature request backlog.  Check out our latest release!

What's next? We are still focused on getting other data sources into LogViewPlus. This includes databases, UDP and syslog.
