1. What is the validity period of the 50 licenses you provide after we purchase the license package?
2. In addition, is each license in the purchased license package bound to the MAC address of the computer?
3. How can you grant permissions to the new server after purchasing the service package? If we purchase many license packages at a time, for example, 100 license packages (100 x 50 licenses in total), we can easily apply for licenses later if we cannot obtain 5000 server addresses at a time.
Thank you very much, please reply in time. I like your product very much.

Thanks for your interest in LogViewPlus.

LogViewPlus is licensed per user, so each user is free to register on multiple machines while the support contract is active. Registered installs never expire.  So once registered, LogViewPlus will work indefinitely.

New registrations are prohibited after support expiry, so you will not be able to register on new machines or install updates.

Renewals are discounted at 70% for one year or 75% for three years. So, renewal fees on a Corporate License Pack start at $600 per year.

It sounds like you are thinking in terms of "number of machines", but it would be better to consider the "number of users".  LogViewPlus does not support machine licensing.  However, in some cases, we have given Corporate License Pack customers a special license key which is assigned to an Active Directory domain.  This key allows for simplified installation without registration across a large number of machines.  Note that the licensing model in this case is still per-user.

It is possible to purchase keys for more users at a later date.  These licenses can then be merged with an existing license key.

Hope that helps,

Toby

Thank you for your prompt response.

1. Do you mean Windows users by user? Or a user registered and logged in to logviewplus?
2. The enterprise license package purchased by an enterprise refers to the purchase of licenses for 50 users in batches.
3. How many servers can another user log in to? Because our products may have a large number of servers, each device needs to have an open log analysis tool, logview plus just.
4. Please confirm whether I am wrong. The first purchase of the Enterprise License Package is: $2,000/year/50 user licenses. Renewals are discounted at 70% for one year or 75% for three years.

Thanks - I will try and answer each question in order.

1.  A LogViewPlus user is an end-user - a physical person.  Registration is a one-time event, so users are not really 'logged in to LogViewPlus'.  For example, if 2 people are sharing an admin account both users will need to be licensed LogViewPlus users.  Note that only one LogViewPlus registration may occur in this case because the software is shared.  That is irrelevant - there are still two users.  LogViewPlus is always licensed per-user even though the registration process may be circumvented.  Currently, we prefer to trust our customers are purchasing licenses correctly rather than strictly enforce the registration policy.

2.  We don't really sell an 'enterprise license'.  Just a pack of 50 normal licenses.  This is the Corporate License Pack.

3.  We try not to limit this.  If you purchase an Individual License and register it on, say, 100 machines, we may reach out to clarify the license is being used correctly, but as long as only one person is using LogViewPlus, that would be fine.

4.  That's correct.  Registering LogViewPlus over a 4 year period would therefore start at $3500 = $2000 + (3 * ($2000 * 25%)).

Hope that helps,

Toby
