Today we released LogViewPlus 2.4.40. Our last release (2.4.34) was about three weeks ago and this release is primarily addressing some features that didn't quite make it into 2.4.34. There are a lot of small tweaks in this release - and some are pretty cool.
One feature I am excited about is the ability to display multiple rows as the selection changes. It is a little easier to see this feature in action than to describe.
Why didn't we think of that sooner! :-)
There is also a new settings which I think a lot of people will be interested in. You can now set a prefix in LogViewPlus which controls the number of rows to display before the current selection. Previously, when looking up a search result, LogViewPlus would often show the result at the top of the view. This meant you had to scroll to see this preceding log entries. This new setting aims to fix this problem by allowing you to control the number of prefix entries to display.
We wanted to get a quick release out because the next release will likely take a few months. We are upgrading to .Net 4.7.2 and adding ETW support as discussed in more detail in the previous release post. We are hoping to have this release in production by September.
That's all we have for now. Be sure to
