When I use “run as administrator” to start LogViewPlus, it says my trial has expired and my application settings are missing.

Is there a way around this?  I am a registered user.

Hi,

When you run LogViewPlus as an administrator, your ‘User’ directory changes and LogViewPlus cannot find the license key. It will also be missing any application settings like parser configurations.

To get around this problem, just re-register LogViewPlus while running under your admin account. This will recreate the needed license file. There is no problem with using LogViewPlus this way as LogViewPlus is licensed license per user (you are the user).  You may also need to export and import your application settings from one user to the other.

This should really be covered in our documentation. I will take a look. Thanks for bringing this problem to my attention!

Hope that helps,

Toby
