Really like the categories that you can set, but working with them is a little iffy. Especially if you want to move a larger number of files into a category, you have to do that one by one. A bulk merge would be a great feature here.
It also would be great to define categories and maybe have filters for those, e.g. files which match a certain pattern or extension should be moved automatically to a category. This could also enhance the Directory monitor. I can see the idea of the auto category creation with the directory monitor, it would even be better if I could do the categories as mentioned above with patterns.

Thanks for the suggestions.  Those are good ideas, but some of them would require new menu options.  The problem here is that we don't want to increase program complexity unless the feature idea is widely applicable.  

LogViewPlus recently added the ability to select multiple items.  One thing we could do is allow you to select multiple items and drag / drop them into a category.  I think this would be sufficient for most use cases without adding additional complexity.  I will look into this to see what we can do for the next release.
