LogViewPlus 3.1.6 is now available with a new built-in dashboard for Windows Event Logs which monitors events as recommended by Microsoft and the NSA. Our new dashboard provides fantastic insight into the health of your Windows environment with zero configuration.



We've also added the ability to drill into report data by creating SQL Filters dynamically. This is done by specifying a drill down query in the target report. All of our built-in reports have now been revisited to implement this ability. If you are an existing user and you are not seeing the new drill down capability in a pre-built report, you may need to delete the existing report so it can be recreated.

On the LVP SQL front were are happy to announce JOIN support. JOIN support may seem a little strange because LogViewPlus currently only has one table - CurrentView or CV. However, we have also add a new LoadCSV function which can parse a CSV file into a Data Table for use by the JOIN. We use this approach to enrich Windows Event log data in our built-in reports.

What’s next?

As stated previously, we expect to continue our focus on product quality while increasing the number of available built-in dashboards. We are currently working on a FIX dashboard which will be the focus of the next release.
