If I load logs from multiple machines, they may have different system clocks causing the merge to not work correctly. Is there a way to skew the clock during the merge process on per file or selection of files?

Thanks for the update Andy.

For anyone else who finds this thread, you can create a Time Offset as described here:

Is there a way to show in the grid both the original time and the offset time?  It looks like only the original time is shown.

That's strange.  The grid should show the offset time.  The original time is always shown in the log entry.

It is not possible to show both the original and the offset in the grid at the same time.

I am seeing the 2 logs spliced together correctly with the offset being applied correctly, however I am still seeing the original time in the grid.  I was expecting a way to show hide the original times and show the offset times instead.

Very strange.  I am not able to recreate this behaviour.  If you delete the time offset, then you will need to refresh the merge file.  It is possible the views are out of sync depending on when the offset was created.

When you set an offset, LogViewPlus re-parses the file applying the offset.  The actual data is modified and the application has no concept of "real" time, so it's very strange that the wrong time is shown in a correctly sorted grid.

It might help if you could send a screenshot.

Thanks,

Toby

I see my mistake. I was misinterpreting the time shift UI because I was trying to multitask. It is working as designed.
