That's a good idea Murilo.

I will add a Delete button to the next release which allows for the removal of an existing shortcut.  Currently, this command already exits, but it can only remove an overridden shortcut.

Once removed, the shortcuts will appear with an override of 'None'.

Hope that helps,

Toby

I want to start by thanking you and addressing my main concern about the shortcut keys. I just tested it and was able to switch to another button press.

That being said, I still believe that adding the option to disable certain buttons, as you mentioned, might be worth exploring. We are limited in what we can press unless we start adding more button presses to avoid pressing something unintentionally.

Just a quick update to let you know that we have now released LogViewPlus 3.1.14 as a BETA release. This release includes a new Shortcut Editor which you can use to view and overwrite existing shortcuts.

Hope that helps,

Toby

Good point.  In this case, you really need a shortcut editor.  ...or at least the ability to disable the 'delete closes the view' behaviour.

Let me have a look and see what we can do.

Thanks,

Toby

My primary challenge has been the shortcut conflict with my usual screenshot software, which uses one of the functions uses Ctrl + Del. After dedicating roughly two hours to collecting and arranging logs for a screenshot, I inadvertently closed all my logs when I pressed Ctrl + Del, intending to capture the screen.

That is why I asked for a full list of shortcut keys, so this does not happen again, and a why to alter the shortcut keys.

Thanks for the suggestion.

LogViewPlus currently does not support the ability to change shortcuts.  This is something that we would really like to add as I appreciate how annoying this can be - particularly for users of an international keyboard.

I will have a think about this to see if we can do anything for the next release.  If we could make this configurable, I think that would provide a kind of built-in documentation.  Short of that, I'll consider adding a documentation page will common shortcuts.

In the meantime, the best I can suggest is to hover over the menu item you are intersted in.  You should see shortcut information in the tooltip:

Thanks again,

Toby

I would love a list of all the shortcut keys of the product and a way to alter the already defined shortcut keys.
